Garry Dominguez, Innkeeper 

"For thirty-one years my brothers, our parents and now our children have made this Inn a home away from home for both our guests and our family," commented Garry Dominguez. Garry has been the Innkeeper since 1982, having been summoned to help the family run the Inn back in 1980 by his older brothers Joe and George. Like the rest of the Dominguez family, Garry has worked every aspect of the Inn, from maintenance man to lounge manager and kitchen help. Garry has served as the Southern Maine Coast Tourism Commission Representative to the Maine State Office of Tourism, President and Chairman of the Board of the New England Innkeepers Association, and served on the Board of Directors of the York Chamber of Commerce.

 


Paul Gagnon Guest Services – Concierge
Paul brings to the York Harbor Inn years of experience as Concierge Staff Manager and Hospitality Trainer for Tillinger’s Concierge in Boston. 

In his role as the York Harbor Inn Concierge, Paul goes above and beyond to provide the guests of the Inn with a one of a kind experience during their stay. From historical information to recommendations of unique and exciting “things to do” in the area, Paul looks forward to enhancing your visit to the Inn. 


Gerald Bonsey, Chef CEC, AAC 
Chef Bonsey joined the York Harbor Inn in 1982, having previously worked at the famed Wentworth by the Sea. Chef Bonsey is a member of the prestigious National Honor Society of Culinarians in America, a title recently bestowed upon him by the American Academy of Chefs Honor Society. He is a Charter Member of the ACF Piscataqua Chapter, past Chef of the Year, President, Vice President and Secretary. He also chairs the five NH Chapters of the ACF Annual Culinary Salon, has chaired the advisory board for the Thompson School of Applied Science, and was a member of the York County Technical College Culinary Advisory Board. Chef Bonsey prides himself on making every dish special.

Paul Houser - Banquet Sous Chef

Paul Houser has worked at the York Harbor Inn since July of 2004. His current position is Banquet Sous Chef, where he is in charge of specially designed menus for all weddings, wine tastings, and other social gatherings, on and off premise. Before arriving at the Inn, he worked in Portsmouth, NH and Bangor, ME, where he lived for 10 years with his wife and children. He has been in the restaurant business for 17 years. Paul is a 2001 graduate of Governors University in Waterville, ME, where he majored in the Restaurant Management program as well as a 1992 graduate of the Penobscot Job Corps Center in Bangor, ME where he enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program.

Chad Manning - Night Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager 
Chad Manning, has lived in Southern York County for most of his life, and currently resides in South Eliot with his family. As a marine he traveled the Far East for several years and enjoys incorporating these unique flavors into his cooking.

As Night Sous Chef, Chad manages the kitchen and works closely with other staff members to ensure quality. Chad has been in the food service industry for almost 16 years. Prior work has included Sous Chef at the Stage Neck Inn. 


Sean Danico, Dining Room Manager - Sean is charged with the challenge of managing the foodservice staff and dining room operation for the inn. Sean hires and trains the foodservers in the fine art of service and works very closely with Chef Bonsey, Function Coordinator Pam Miller, and Garry. Sean has been employed at the Inn since 1988.

Joseph Dominguez, Sr. 
Papa Joe, as he is affectionately known, "retired" to York with his wife Irma in 1984. Papa Joe, today at age 93, has been an indispensable part of the Inn, helping his two sons with everything from mail pick up and bank trips to maintenance. "When I see our family all working together and making many guests so happy, I am very proud." As Maintenance Director he borrows an old Army motto, "if it doesn't move paint it". Papa Joe also serves as host and innkeeper at the family's Harbor Cliffs Inn, adjacent to The York Harbor Inn. 

At the York Harbor Inn - the Dominguez' and their entire staff work hard so that their guests may enjoy "hospitality at its finest". And in the classic New England tradition, innkeeping at their seaside estate is truly a family affair.
