The 1730 Harbor Crest Inn is our only Inn that is Pet Friendly. Harbor Crest is located on Coastal Route 1a approximately one half-mile prior to the York Harbor Inn (where guests check-in). It is also only one half-mile from the shops and restaurants of York Village, legendary Wiggly Bridge, the Fisherman’s Walk and the Harbor Beach. Built in 1730, this elegant and historic upscale inn is surrounded by a wrought iron fence outlining the original grand circular driveway and gardens. The Harbor Crest Inn is directly next door to it’s sister property, our Chapman Cottage.
The Inn has seven beautifully appointed luxury guest rooms and one large “Innkeepers” suite with 2 bedrooms, large living room and dining area perfect for your family vacation. All seven guest rooms are appointed with king size beds, decorative or gas burning fireplaces, wireless and direct internet connections and spacious bathrooms. Six of the seven rooms have two-person Jacuzzi spa tubs. There are two premier rooms on third floor with gracious cathedral ceilings.
Guests of the Harbor Crest can enjoy relaxing on the outdoor stone porch, soaking up the sun in the glass enclosed sun room or socializing in other common areas, such as the elegantly fireplaced living and dining rooms. The original tile surrounding the fireplaces are from the Moravian Tile Works in Doylestown, Pennsylvania founded by Henry Mercer who owned the Harbor Crest “Mercer Mansion” as it was known at the time. All Harbor Crest guests have access to Harbor Beach (across the street from our Main Inn) as well as waterfront recreation access.
Décor here is similar to that our popular Harbor Hill Inn, with special attention to an authentic, historical ambience. All of the York Harbor Inn dinner and special event packages are available to guests of the 1730 Harbor Crest Inn. Guests staying at the Crest are within walking distance (half mile) to the Main Dining Room, the Ship’s Cellar Pub and the function space of the York Harbor Inn.
