York Summerfest
During the second weekend of July, York's village green in York Village is turned into an old-fasioned marketplace. A pancake breakfast, tours of historic houses, children's events, booths with antiques, collectibles, arts, and food are available, and there's a juried crafts show. Christmas in July
The kickoff to the annual York Days Celebration with a fun family evening of entertainment and countdown to 'lights on' at around 9:00 p.m. Twice each year the lighthouse is adorned with white lights, outlining the houses and tower. The first event is known as "Christmas in July" and the second is the Annual Lighting of the Nubble just after Thanksgiving. Both events are held at Sohier Park.

York Days
This week-long celebration of summer in York Beach takes place the first weekend in August at various locations. Parades, crafts, races, and concerts take place throughout the day, which culminates with fireworks. Call 363-1040 for more information.

Harvest Fest
York's celebration of fall takes place in October with Harvest Fest, a fall festival in the heart of historic York, Maine. The festival begins on the Village Green on Friday with crafts, food, and entertainment in an old-fashioned marketplace. Good Maine cooking like apple crisp, fish chowder, and baked beans is plentiful. Events include a Native American Pow Wow, kids' fest, antique car show, food festival, puppet show, cider press, craft demonstrations, ox-roast, and tours of the Old Gaol and Jefferds Tavern.
