Hotel Procedures Covid-19

Due to concerns and issues related to Covid-19, we are pleased to offer curbside check-in along with our traditional lobby service.

Check In Time:  4pm

Any guests who wish to take advantage of curbside check-in will find 4 parking spaces marked ‘Curbside Service’ at the top of the driveway of the Main Inn.  Upon your arrival, please call the Front Desk at 207-363-5119 extension ‘0’ so that a staff member can meet you outside to check you in.

Guests who wish to check-in at the lobby will be asked to send just one member of the party inside to adhere to Maine social distancing requirements.

Guests entering the lobby or Main Inn will be asked to wear a mask or face covering and be asked to respect ‘social distancing’ guidelines while at the desk or waiting in line, and should the lobby become full we may ask guests to wait outside or take advantage of curbside service.

Payment options will be limited to the credit card on file, which can be switched over the phone at any time prior to or during your stay.  Guests using gift certificates should email or call the Front Desk with this information prior to arrival if they are not presented at the time of booking.

Breakfast:  7am-10am 

As always, breakfast is included with your stay at the York Harbor Inn.

Due to the elimination of self-service stations and buffets we will be offering a Grab & Go continental breakfast each morning from 7:00 am until 10:00 am.  This Grab & Go service will be located at the Main Inn’s back patio where guests can pick up their breakfast from a staff member who will also be serving coffee, juice and water.

Guests will find a few tables outdoors to enjoy their breakfast or can take it with them to their room, the beach or out on a daytrip!  Items offered in the ‘Grab & Go’ will likely be fresh fruit, yogurt and house-made muffin or pastry.  Due to availability there will be extremely limited options for substitution. 

Housekeeping:

Daily housekeeping services will be limited and ‘stayover’ housekeeping service is offered after every 3rd night of extended stays.

To coordinate this service, please call the Front Desk sometime prior to your fourth day to specify a period of time that your room will be vacant for cleaning.  We ask that you not leave any personal belongings on or near your bed. Please also remove your toiletries and personal items in the bathroom.  We are happy to provide this service for stays longer than 3 nights but we are unable to touch any personal belongings.

All Guests may leave a bag of trash outside their guest room by 11:00am for pick up each day. 

Extra towels have been left in your room at check in.  Should you need additional towels, or amenities at any time during your stay, please call the Front Desk so that we may leave them outside your door.

Our Front desk is staffed 24/7  for your convenience.

Checkout Procedure:  11am

In lieu of traditional lobby checkout service the York Harbor Inn will be asking all guests to utilize Express Checkout.  To allow for enough vacancy prior to deep cleaning we will ask guests to respect our 11:00 am Checkout time.  As you depart your room, or soon after, please call the Front Desk at 207-363-5119, extension 0, so that we can relay all checkouts to our housekeeping staff.  Please leave room keys in the guest room to be collected and properly disinfected by staff. 


Any remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file on the morning of departure with an emailed receipt.  If a guest desires to switch the credit card on file or use a gift certificate for payment this should be done prior to the morning of departure.

Should any guest require assistance with luggage we request calling the Front Desk to coordinate ahead of time and allow for proper staffing. 

If there is an issue or question about your stay the Front Desk will be staffed 24 hours to help and pass concerns along to management in a timely fashion.
